If You Hate Mondays, You Might Have A Bigger Problem

in life •  7 years ago

If you wake up angry that you have to go to work on Monday after a great weekend of relaxing, then you might have a bigger problem than just hating Mondays.

I should know, I once hated Mondays. I would work all week and then enjoy just two days with the family and then back to the grind. That model didn't work for me and I learned that me being angry at Monday was really me being angry at what I was doing.

Nobody wants to hate their job, but many of us do. We want to love it, but we don't and a lot of times we get stuck by treasuring "stability" instead of life. Life is best enjoyed with some risks.

It took a lot of guts and a lot of planning and even more work for me to be in a position to leave my job and focus on what I want to do. I wanted to wake up on Mondays and start working on the things that I want to work on and I am much happier.

Now when Monday comes, I'm not stressed, but optimistic. I am working on projects and ideas that I like and I want to see accomplished. Putting in the effort that is needed to succeed instead of putting in time dreading Mondays. It has changed my life.

If you hate Mondays, then maybe you need to find a way to do something you like. Find a way to do something that helps you work toward a goal that is based around more that "stability".  You can do it, but you might have to take some risks.

Do you do what you truly love? Are you working towards it? Let me know in the comments below.

You're really right @walkingkeys
The problem surely is not that you have to work on Monday but the nature of the work. I've never known that bad monday feeling as I've never had a real job, I'm pretty young and I'm a student, I've been attending school since I was 3 years old.
Right now I'm in College and since going for classes are the only sort of work I knw, I dont get the bad Monday feeling since I love the course I'm doing and going to classes everyday entails meeting friends, seeing people and catching fun.

But when I have, due to negligence, piled up a lot of school work and have a lot for that week thats when Monday gives me the horrors.

Though I cant really relate to what workers go through I completely agree that if one loves what he does waking up on Mondays knowing that he'll do that which he loves would not make him feel bad - on the contrary, he'll even feel great.

@walkingkeys, I am working towards an online business. It is slow, but I am making progress.

I want freedom to spend time with those I care the most about and find a way to provide for them doing things that love to do.

I don't want to hate Monday!

I am too. 100%. I'm doing it with a combination of unique digital services and creative property. It is my dream to. I don't have the money I want, but I'm working towards it by doing the work I want to do. Good luck buddy

I really get bored waking up early on mondays but what you just explained I'm tring to do these stuffs with willingness. Thanks a lot

I am too! It isn't something you can turn on and off, but something you really have to work towards. I'm not where I want to be just yet, and posts like this help motivate me, but I know where I am going ant that is good enough for me.

Thank you for this post. Every day is a day to work hard so that we are able to enjoy our lives more. If we realise we live in a manmade system that contains momdays to tease us, everyday can be a good day. Realise you have to be the same person and every day of your life could be 'fun' or at least contain fun. Bless all of you

Great reply and I agree 100%. I don't always live it to be honest, but I am constantly working towards it Thank you for the great reply and for reading. I appreciate it.

The power is within you bro. Have you ever heard of Gary Vee and Infinite waters? They helped me manifest my material desires and live the life i really want

I am a huge fan of Gary Vee. I'm on my way. Much further than where I was this time last year. Thanks for the support!!!

I always used to hate Mondays too! I decided to make Monday my "fun day" so I would love it. I would treat myself to stuff like a purchased movie or a super large banana split. Now I look forward to Mondays!

Hahahahahah.
What a way to treat it!
Does this take away all the apprehension the work you'll have to do the entire week creates? Or you aint really got a real job?

An Aspire person comes in all shapes and sizes however we all have the same core
Anyone looking for something different in his work.
