Thoughts are the fundamental principles of a human being. Thought is the sum total of all of a person's thoughts that he or she may have held over a period of time. It is not a timeless abstract idea like God or a universal truth that can be objectively measured and accepted as true.


Thoughts are the result of a person's thoughts and not a physical entity that they hold together. Thought encompasses an "aspiration-oriented stream of abstractions and associations which will lead to an objective reality-oriented end". Although thoughts are an enormously significant activity of an incomparable value for humans, there's still no universally accepted notion as to how it's properly defined or taken in to account. It is often thought of as existing as a psychological state or as a personal matter, on a par with our perceptions and feelings.

Our thoughts affect the functioning of every other organ in our body. A single thought can cause changes in the body, even before they surface through the senses. For instance, a change in the heart rate or blood pressure can set off an alarm. Thoughts can influence the brain and its patterns, too. When a thought directed towards a certain goal, outcome or approach to life takes over the mind, the brain will respond in a manner determined by the thoughts that went along with it.

Thoughts are the fuel that drives our actions through life. They decide what we will do, when we will do it, how we will do it and how long we will do it. Thoughts also give meaning to our lives. The thoughts that fuel us and direct us have to do with our personality, but the direction of our character comes from our thoughts.

If we are healthy, our thoughts will contribute to our well-being. If we are unhealthy, our thoughts will be responsible for our sickness. If we have positive thoughts, then we will experience happiness and joy. But, if we have negative thoughts, then we will experience sadness and failure.

But, the good news is that our thoughts do not have to control our lives. Our thoughts have the power to inspire us and motivate us. The power of positive thoughts lies in the fact that they are not always spoken aloud. If we don't talk about our thoughts, then they are bound to be buried. And buried thoughts cannot lead to healthy and happy living.

Thoughts are not bad. They just come in pairs. One thought is not necessarily better than another. The only difference is that some thoughts bring transformation. That is why sometimes it seems like our thoughts are controlling everything that happens. However, if we continue to focus our attention on the thoughts that go against our values and principles, then we will eventually create circumstances and situations that we will not be able to live with.

Instead of directing our attention toward the thoughts that bother us, why not direct it toward those things that will inspire us? By doing this, we will be able to live a more fulfilled and meaningful life. When our thoughts move toward the things that will make us feel good, then we will have the courage to pursue those thoughts. In addition to directing our attention to the good things in life, we can also divert our thoughts toward the good things that others can do for us. By doing this, we will start taking responsibility for our own actions and our own feelings.

Did you know that when an individual thinks of something, they can actually change their internal world to match the thoughts that they have? This is true whether the thoughts are positive or negative. For instance, if someone has a negative attitude, the thoughts that they have will cause their internal world to be negative. However, if they replace their negative thoughts with positive ones, then their inner world will become more positive. The new thought processes will allow the individual to take control of their own life.

Most importantly, do not attempt to change your thoughts for someone else. You must first believe that it is possible for you to change their thoughts to match your own. Then you can ask them to accompany you on your journey to changing your own thoughts. At first this may seem intimidating. However, over time, people will understand that being able to change other people's thoughts and feelings for the better are two things of real value. Thus, they will gladly accompany you as you make your own personal changes.


By developing a better understanding of your own thoughts, you will be able to develop a better relationship with yourself. It will be easier for you to make changes to your life, because you will know that you can alter your thoughts. Thus, you will also have a greater ability to motivate others to follow your lead.
