There are many out there who believe in Darwin’s postulation that humans are innately savage and wretched. The I Ching and the Tao Te Ching, would disagree with this model. In fact, the ancient texts are in line with Rousseau’s noble savage. So when we discuss of innocence, we must not think in terms of ignorance. Ignorance, has a measure of intent to it. When one ignores, it is by choice. With innocence, there is no intent to be found.

“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities,
in the expert’s mind there are few.” — Shunryu Suzuki

Keep moving forward by discerning between what strengthens your connection to Spirit, and what weakens it. People might have advice for you today, but don’t be so easily swayed. Make conscious decisions for your Self. In this way you preserve some of your innocence. Access is granted. Good fortune will follow for those who will be able to imitate altruistic behaviour.

Stay blessed always,

Lee
