Dear @steemit community, today in this post I will show you one of the many beaches that you can find in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. I will also expose some sports that you can do on this beach and on the way to this one.
The name of the beach is "La playa del Ancón", located in Santa Úrsula, a town on the island of Tenerife, this beach can be accessed by two routes, the first route is the path that communicates with the "Mirador a Santa Ana ”and the second communicates with a roundabout located in the town of La Orotava, which perfectly marks its entrance.
It is a beach of volcanic black sand, about 400 meters long and with a beautiful natural landscape in its surroundings.
An important detail to take into account is to monitor the state of the sea when venturing to the bathroom. On this beach there is no lifeguard or any type of service (hammocks, umbrellas, beach bar ...) and in general, on the northern beaches the sea tends to have more currents than those in the south, so you have to be extremely careful, not go deep and only go in if the sea is calm.
As you can see in the photographs, the Ancón beach is of great beauty, so it is undoubtedly recommended to visit it along with other beaches in the area such as Los Patos and El Bollullo.
Therefore, we can establish that the first sport that we can do in this, is hiking since, to access them, you will have to walk for an approximate time of 30-45 minutes. The second is swimming, exercising our bodies when bathing in this beautiful beach, but care must be taken, as I explained before, this beach has strong currents and if you are an inexperienced swimmer, I would not recommend going too deep. Finally, there is surfing, this sport is practiced very frequently in Tenerife and in general in all the Canary Islands, this beach is characterized by attracting the attention of surfers before the big waves that form in the winter season.
