Bloody mouthed and dizzy he stares down the world in the face and the world stops. You can hear crickets. Nothing moves. He lifts his arm and the world lifts its arm. He spins around and the world spins around. All aggression subside and the world is at his command.
He feels anger bundled up inside him from all those punches to the face. He realizes that in this moment he could crush the world in his fist, but he does not. He breathes. And then he keeps breathing.
He sits down, bends his knees, and places the world between them. He outstretches his arms.
"Fuck" he says.
He does nothing. He just wants to rest. Tomorrow he will rebuild.
