Every parent wants to protect their children from being bullied in school, and yes I understand that governments also just wants to protect their countries!

Please understand I am not a politician and no I don't have all the answers.
One thing that I am wondering about is, if the great respected leaders of great countries, stand up and threaten and wanting to bully smaller countries as to show off their power. What type of message are they sending out to the younger generation?
I was always taught that one needs to try and find a peaceful resolution to a problem because violence has never solved any problems, it in fact incites greater hatred and in seeking greater revenge, and I think that we have enough of that in the world and we do not really need more of it.
Leaders, need to lead and to set examples for their people and the world, and it is this type of example that our young generation is seeing and will be following. In short they think "if this great leader can do so can I".
So from my point of view, if leaders like President Trump, stand up in public and openly threatens another county that is not sending the message that bullying is wrong.
How can we as parents win if our leaders are doing the opposite of what we are trying to teach our kids?
Hello @willow2u I am history teacher in school. I know what you are talking about. I don't support this kind of behavior with my students.

Honestly I think children who are influenced by celebrities and politicians in such a strong way that they feel bullying is appropriate, might not have been taught a proper sets of values at home. Parents have the power to teach their children a good set of values how to behave in society. Bit if they are careless children will look for this somewhere else..

Yes it is true, we as parents are the first influence on our children and we try our best to teach them what is wright and what is wrong, but they are part of the society and the leaders in that society plays an important role as well. As the roll indicates 'leader' thus they need to lead by example. It comes down to the old saying 'practice what you preach'.

Your right, seen videos of teachers in school letting other kids bully right in front of them. My dad also a teacher had a student bully him, but when he did not give in the kid got his parents involved, unfortunately all the other kids, and teachers that witnessed the event refused to stand up, it is sad to say a 6th grader in todays world has more power than the people trying to care for and teach him! Great point though, truly wish there was something one could do!
