A Helping Hand, from all you lovely Steemites.

Okay, living in the UK I have always been an advocate of the NHS but I feel a little let down by them at the moment.

I broke my hand about 5 weeks back went to hospital and had a half cast put on, but was then taken in after two weeks and they took the cast back off, I was a little surprised at that especially as the Doc said it was still broken, but the nurse, who was doing her best, said after they took the cast off that it was best with the kind of break I had to put the hand in a support brace and get the fingers moving again.

I'm fine with that, but I was never given any advice regarding exercises or rehabbing to do and I’ll be honest I had to look at YouTube and google to try and figure out exercises to do, as i left the hospital with no idea of what to do.

So been doing as much as I can, but I notice that, as I like to call them bastard pinkie and his henchman bigger finger seem to be having trouble bending the way they should, I can’t make a fist very well,

So, what I was looking for was some advice, it was a boxer's break, can any Steemites tell me, is this unusual that after 5 weeks I can’t bend those two fingers properly?

Should they be bendable into a proper fist at this point?

Do you have any advice or exercises that I could do to lessen the stiffness and getting the fingers bending normally again?

Also the pinkie knuckle on the other side seems to be quite swollen still, is this because i have tried to get it moving again?

Any and all help appreciated my Steemy friends

Thanks @Randowhale!

I wish I could offer some more help but my only advice would be that if you are worried you should probably see your doctor. If your not so worried do what I do and just ignore the problem until it goes away, haha.

I like that advice!!
