일본 금융 서비스 대기업 SBI 홀딩스(SBI Holdings)가 클리어 마켓(Clear Market) 지분의 12%을 인수하며 암호화폐 파생상품까지 사업 포트폴리오를 확장할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
SBI는 차후 클리어 마켓 지분의 20%까지 인수할 계획이라고 덧붙였다.
클리어 마켓은 미국, 영국 및 일본에서 장외 파생상품 전자거래 서비스를 제공하는 미국의 전자 거래 플랫폼 개발자이자 운영자다.
SBI의 이번 인수는 기관 투자자를 대상으로 하는 ‘암호화폐 파생상품 거래 플랫폼’을 구축하고자 하는 노력으로 평가된다.
클리어마켓은 암호화폐 및 암호화폐 관련 금융 상품을 다루는 데에 꼭 필요한 헤징 서비스를 제공함으로써 금융 기관이 암호화폐 파생 상품 시장에서 원활하게 거래할 수 있도록 돕는다.
