Gerber baby with Down syndrome selected as 2018 Gerber baby

18-month-old from Dalton, Ga., Lucas Warren, the first child with Down syndrome named a Gerber baby since the contest's start in 2010.

Cortney Warren entered the Gerber contest After posting a photo of Lucas on Instagram. Lucas had been chosen from more than 140,000 entries to be the 2018 Gerber Spokesbaby. The Gerber Baby is the trademark logo of the Gerber Products Company.

Jason Warren, was hopeful his son’s new role as Gerber Spokesbaby will bring increased awareness and acceptance of people with Down syndrome.

A round of applause for the baby food company, Gerber, for selecting the first ever child with Down syndrome, to be the coveted Gerber baby of the year!
