Life today is exhausting, not in a good way. We are living in a complex world. Part of the problem is that our lives are not really local, we hear about the problems of the entire world every day. If we go back to 50s. A lot happened, I hear from some elders about the Bay of Pigs, the Kennedy assassination, civil rights struggles, etc. However, back then they did not have a 24/7 news cycle of non-stop repetition of everything happening in the world. News happened on the five-o'clock news. Not morning noon and night.
They went to school or work, came home, had dinner. Most of their lives were lived within a few blocks, and generally, you knew everyone else around you.
People are hungry to just feel rested. Just a little peace, a casual afternoon, a simple church supper. A life that we feel we have just a little control over and is simple enough that we can comprehend what is going on and that we can navigate through it. That is a really tough thing these days.
You are trapped in a cycle of doing the same type of stuff over and over, and diminishing the value of your days. Make small time for a free time of new things every day to try and liven you up.

No I don't.
I see each day as an opportunity to achieve something greater.
Sure there are days when life feels overwhelming, but I motivate myself and still push through.
Creating your personal time to relax does help.
