My name is Adrián and I had terrible cystic acne.
One year ago, my acne bursted. Growing up with beautiful acne free skin was a blessing until, after going through an indescriptible stressful period in my life, my good luck with skin was over.

My acne not only was painful, but made me self conscious, made me feel ugly. Made me have to cake on makeup to cover my flaws, without realizing I was making my problem worse by clogging my pores. I washed my face four to five times a day, thinking it would help, without realizing I was (again) making my problem worse.

I'm going to tell you guys some secret and powerful tips to get rid of acne:

  1. OWN IT. Now that you're an amazing person, and that acne doesn NOT dictate ANYTHING about your worth as a person. Acne will go away, positivity and a good personality won't.

  2. Wash your face two times a day: washing your face a lot will strip out the natural oils of your face, making it dry and making acne harder to heal. I wash my face morning and night every day.

  3. SUNSCREEN AND MOISTURIZERS ARE YOUR BEST FRIENDS: I seriously can't stress enough how important it is to use sunscreen to prevent acne scars in your face, and moisturizer to improve your skin look and health.

  4. Use paraben free makeup / tinted moisturizers IF you want to.

  5. Go to a dermatologist to see what they can offer: my dermatologist was against taking pilss for acne due to the heavy side effects. She used on me laser treatment, and microdermabrasion. Using ONLY this two treatments, my skin cleared up in a few weeks.

  6. PATIENCE: big changes do not occur overnight. Consistency and patience are KEY to improvement.

Hope you guys like my story, if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comment section and I'll get to you right back!
