How do I start?

I’ve been probably staring at the blank page for the past week. And these two questions were all over my head:

"What should I write about?"
"How do I start?"

As a person who’ve never posted any long piece of writing to public, it’s quite difficult to even thinking about it. And then I thought, “wait, does this have to be long enough to be looked like a blog posting? Isn’t point of writing and sharing is to put my (any) thoughts into written words?”

Thus I became brave, looked for a nice writing app (so that I don’t mess up on steemit if I write right on it), and hear I am writing my first steemit.

And I believe this question, “how do I start?” doesn’t only apply to steemit, but literally to anything: friendship, relationship, working, studying, reading a book, cooking, learning new instrument, well you name it.

It’s always hard to start anything new. But there should be (a) reason(s) why you wanted to “start” at the beginning. Reminding those reasons will make you keep going, which is more difficult part to be honest.

So, what was my reason to start steemit?

I’ve been in IT industry for past 5 years, mainly mobile advertisement. Co-founded a startup with a great team, exited few months ago, and then now in a position where I need to learn about blockchain.

Even though I was in IT industry and blockchain was a hot potato for few years by now, I wasn’t looking into it. I was ignorant, and do feel ashamed now.

I’ve been doing a lot of research recently, and I looked into more about steemit. Steemit has an extraordinary ecosystem which I couldn’t help but trying it out by myself. Learning by doing is the best thing you can do (and also my motto), and especially for steemit, I felt I need to be the part of the community to understand how it works.

I do like writing, keeping journal and records of my travel, food, and wine I love, so I will use this space to upload anything I can. Posts will be in English, sometimes in Korean :)
