Happy Friday! Today’s message with my first cup of the day is: “Life is an Adventure.”
Are you ready for an adventure this weekend? Yesterday, between helping all day with the United Way Day of Caring and speaking last night on the international corporate call for my side business, I attended a Toastmaster meeting. A lady gave her ice breaker speech on the topic, “The Great Adventure,” inspired by the Steven Curtis Chapman song by the same name:
“Saddle up your horses
We’ve got a trail to blaze
Through the wild blue yonder
Of God’s amazing grace
Let’s follow our Leader
Into the glorious unknown
This is a life like no other
This is the great adventure.”
She talked about the different chapters of her life that have been part of her great adventure. I think many times we forget that life is an adventure.
A couple of years ago before discovering the business opportunity to find freedom while helping people, I was in a hopeless rut. All I could see ahead of me was another 25 years of the daily mundane and then maybe have enough saved up to survive the final years of my life. It was depressing.
I’m glad I found hope. Now I can look back over the different adventures I’ve had as part of the great adventure. I can see now things taking place in one adventure I’ve been in the past few years. Things are finally happening that’s making it an adventure and progressing me toward completing that adventure in the next couple of years.
Then there is my new business adventure that is just getting started and promises to be the best adventure yet. If you are feeling the way I did with no hope and no adventure in life, reach out to me. Maybe you can join me in my new adventure.
