The problem

in life •  7 years ago

Problems sometimes have a strange effect on us: we like to contemplate them, analyze them, turn them around, comment on them ... It often happens that we compare our problems with those of others and say: "Your problem is nothing ... wait for me to tell you mine! "

In psychological jargon we call this process of contemplation, analysis, and inaction "paralysis by analysis". We go around again and again, we analyze, we look for all the options and possibilities, we consider all the possibilities and their consequences .. and we get blocked in that process, without moving, without solving anything. It is not about not analyzing things, it is about finding that balance between reflection and action. Be objective, draw conclusions, make decisions and focus on the resolution, on taking action, without avoiding the problem and without staying around indefinitely around it.

Are you prepared to stop contemplating and turn the problems around and face them?

Great post! I’ll admit I do this a lot! I overthink things way too much! Nice reminder to be more mindful of that!
