Life is a journey. Enjoy the ride! We are here on earth only for a short period of time. Regardless of our spiritual/religious beliefs, we all can agree that this life is a temporary one. We only have 1-120 years or so here, we might as well make the best of it.

Life is meant for living, for experiencing different things. It isn’t about achieving goals but rather for the experience of fun/joy in achieving them. Do what makes you happy- an overused phrase and yet not everyone who says it , lives by it. They feel obligated to the expectations of others or feel tied to the boundaries of the norms of the society that they live in. It takes a courageous person to truly live by the desires of their hearts. The fear of appearing to be selfish or different stops many of us from doing what we really want to. But whom does it really affect in the end? If we do not follow our hearts, we will live to regret it.

Seriously though, do what makes you happy. You may ruffle some feathers and disappoint a few. But you will have peace in your heart because you did what you were drawn to. As long as you aren’t harming anyone, there isn’t anything wrong in what your heart desires. Everyone is different and the same things don’t make everyone happy so do not compare. Have your own standards for happiness. Whether it is money, cars, houses, travelling, being with family and friends- do whatever makes you happy. And when you constantly choose happiness – count yourself to be successful in life. Because the measure of success isn’t money or fame – the measure of success is the amount of happiness that you feel.

You leave everything behind, when you go. Remember that. And then decide whether you want to spend the majority of your life trying to get rich and hoard possessions. Would you rather spend more time with family and friends or doing what you enjoy?! Think about it.
