Worst Day Ever, or My Miraculous Day

Just a couple of days ago I read post Worst day ever? Funny not funny by @dkkarolien. She described her terrible day when she dropped her car keys into the water. She had to call the master and make a new key, it was not cheap, and everything that happened to any of us would be stressful.

And when I've read "Sooooo..... Worst days... What is your worst day", I tried to recall my worst day and ... for a moment, I have a bad feeling. I stopped thinking about bad things, never mind.

In a day or two, it was on last Saturday morning, my husband and I were in a supermarket. He went to the register, and I went to ATM to withdraw some cash, and then hurried to him.

In the evening, I was going to visit my acquaintance on business. We got in the car, I thought about cash I'll have to pay, and suddenly I realized with horror, that I don't remember how I put cash into my wallet. I checked it out, and ... oh that coldness in my chest. I didn't took money. It was a significant sum for us, and a monthly income for many Ukrainians!

I can't describe you my feelings. I was depressed, I was shot dead. I felt like I will never can let myself to buy anything more than is really necessary. No new shoes, new lipstick or even a bottle of wine. I will live with this feeling for ever...

My husband tried to calm me down, I tried to stop crying.

When we came to the site, I took my bag and went into the apartment house, and husband drove off in his business. We agreed that I'll call him when I finish. I came into with couple that lived here and went up to the 14th storey. The girl I came to has no doorbell, and I opened my bad to get the phone and call her. There was no phone there. I left it in the car, and it's took off.

Actually, I wasn't surprised any more. Here is it, my worst day.

I think you have a full picture. On the next 2 days we both tried to clear my head. We visited amazing places I always wanted to see. And every while, something reminds me of that damn money.

I played back that moment in my head again and again. "A person approach to ATM and see roll of money. What a luck!!" "How I lost the sound of ATM? It usually beeps if you foget a card or a cash or a check." "I could buy a laptop for my daughter... or a return flight to Italy." Well, can't be helped. I hate myself.

Today, 4 days later, 15 min before the end of common working day, I got an SMS from the bank. My heart just dropped. Without a reason, but I was ready to the worst news. "Transfer to account... return..." Oh Godness, my money are back!

I rushed to call my husband, and while I talked to him, tears streamed down my cheeks. My miracle day. Still don't know HOW it happened, why, but I feel like want to share my news with you.

I don’t know what the moral is. I just think that there is a balance of good and evil things and events in the universe. If you're down today, remember my worst ever day. You just have to wait a little bit, and good things will come.

Never lose hope.
