Entrepreneur Robert Bigelow, NASA consultant and collaborator, is "absolutely convinced" that aliens exist - and that they live among us on Earth.
In an interview on space technologies of the future given to Lara Logan of the "60 Minutes" program of the US chain CBS, businessman Robert Bigelow, director of the aerospace company Bigelow Aerospace, said on Sunday that aliens exist - and that they are " right under our noses. "
"I am absolutely convinced of this," said the businessman, when Lara Logan asked him if he believed in aliens. And soon after, Bigelow says he was really convinced of them living among us.
"I believe in the presence of extraterrestrials among us at this time," said the businessman, who recalled that he has spent "millions upon millions" of his own money investigating this issue - and that he will probably spend more on it than anyone else has done in the US .
Robert Bigelow, a normally controversial figure and an unconventional figure in the aerospace industry, says he does not care what people think about their beliefs because "it will not change the reality of what they know."
The 73-year-old businessman does not clarify whether it was his business in this industry that made him have these ideas, but reports an "immediate meeting" his grandparents had in the Las Vegas area - an episode that sparked his interest in the subject .
Bigelow also says that the World is now witnessing a new space race, but this time it is not a race between the United States, Russia or China. The new space race is between private companies, led by billionaires like Space X's Elon Musk, Blue Origin's Jeff Bezos, or Virgin Galactic's Richard Branson.
"The space race will not be won by the United States. Everything in space will be led at all by private companies - maybe the United States, "says Bigelow.
Bigelow Aerospace builds space stations for commercial use and develops state-of-the-art technologies to enable humans to inhabit the cosmos in the future. The company collaborates regularly with NASA, and some of the Bigelow Aerospace spacecraft have already been tested on trips to the International Space Station (EIA).
Its approach focuses on aircraft and light inflatable space structures that expand in space - it can revolutionize how we live and work in zero gravity, and it is the only viable alternative that anyone has ever presented to the metal structures they have hosted in space all astronauts in more than half a century.
