Have you read 'Future Shock' by Alvin Toffler? It's a non-fiction book that's a bit dated, (written in the 70's) but that has an interesting take on a few of the subjects you mentioned in your writing. The title was inspired by the phrase 'culture shock'. Except Future Shock's just about how humanity is still reeling from the rapidity of technological innovation in a short amount of time.
