Proverbs mentions a wealthy god. Money itself is a privilege. Power. It challenges other gods and raises the stakes. You must bless it with trust and gratitude. HOWEVER? First, you must believe God gave you riches for a cause.
If you've ever wondered how God will use the money you make, you'll soon learn that His intentions are far from conventional. The Lord describes four functions of monetary exchange in His Word. Knowing these functions will help you relate money to God's work. Money's role is to make God's people's lives better.
God blesses your finances to give you authority. This aptitude is called "wealth-earning" in the Bible. True blessing comes from God. Jesus came so His followers could live a rich, satisfying life.
Bible verses say God blesses the wealthy. It's included as one of God's benefits, but not in the way we usually think. It explains our money's approach and purpose. God rewards hard-working affluent people with additional money. Wealth isn't necessarily a blessing, so we shouldn't mistake the two.
The Bible also sets financial limits. We shouldn't use money to assess our own worth, as a reward for living a decent life, or as a sign of success and happiness, it says. This is an opportunity to serve God and advance His kingdom.
Donating money has several benefits. Your donations will help the organisation and are tax-deductible. Stock and other non-monetary assets are tax-efficient ways to gift to charity. Many nonprofits struggle to receive non-cash assets. Opening a Giving Account allows you to transfer shares from your brokerage account to your chosen charity.
Before donating, decide how much you can set away each month. A monthly donation goal helps you remember and budget for the donation's tax impact. Giving time and resources can be rewarding. Before donating to an organisation, conduct your research.
Blessing one's wealth is spiritual. Proverbs praises wealth. It's powerful. It seduces rival gods and makes ever-greater demands. Religious camps rarely address the spiritual aspect of vocation. It's easy to dismiss money's spiritual function and focus on its practicality.
Money tests God's spiritual readiness. Spending more than they can afford is a God-given test. According to Jesus, our connection with worldly prosperity indicates our spiritual preparedness.
You shouldn't use or hoard your wealth since God has a plan for it. He created it to help you meet your needs and do His work. He wants to bless you now and in the future with prosperity. This biblical technique is called "stewardship." It's about taking personal responsibility, giving to the kingdom, and improving the world.
A Christian must investigate why God granted them money. Money is one of God's most potent blessings. The Bible shows how these four monetary functions relate to God's purpose.
