No quick fix for damaged Grand Isle levee as Louisiana and feds squabble over repairs, money

“This is a crisis situation,” he said last month. “I’m worried to death this island will be cut in half.”

Interesting article about damage to the Grand Isle levee system. I'm all for conservation and restoration but these people are always begging for more and more money to fix up their island. At some point the people and local government have to come up with a long term solution to the problem, that's the way I see it.
