Slimy invader is attacking Louisiana where it counts: crawfish and rice farms

In March, the invasive mollusks wiped out a 50-acre field of rice, marking the first reported case of the snail damaging the crop in Louisiana.

Interesting article about another invasive species to Louisiana. It's amazing how something so small can do so much damage. Maybe they can wait till they're dead and use the shells for artificial reefs or fill for coastal restoration. Just a thought......
