I'm in a good position, I have jobs I love, the people around me, everything is going very well. I have expertise, I know what's good. I'm not really the best, but I'm not bad at what I do. Even though I still have a lot to learn, I do a good job.
There is no reason not to be proud of what you can do, and I also find important things to do. Self-assurance is allowed, you do not need to be perfect to "win" yourself.
Self-reliance is something that everyone wants, books are written and people pay a lot to get it. Finally, it's not a big secret, and there's no special step-by-step plan that works for everyone. It's a matter of accepting yourself, accepting its strengths and letting you be proud of what you can do. This is different for everyone. Are there things I can't be sure of? Of course everyone is there, but I don't let myself distract and I see it as something to be overcome.
I'm preparing a course for other doctorates right now. I feel incredibly inadequate, but I know I have the knowledge to do that. It will be very exciting and it also gives great satisfaction. Do I trust myself? Yeah. I'm scared too.
It wasn't always like that, so I had to learn that. The biggest influence is puberty, oh my God, what a mess. A lot has happened and it took a while to get them all back. I don't believe anyone is born with confidence, but some people understand it faster than others.
