The judge has spoken! We now have the winners for the One-Liner Life Mantra Contest. If you'd be interested to go over the posts, you may check my daily updates in the last 7 days. Some of the entries have not paid out yet, you may still support these awesome Red Fish contestants with their posts.
The judge, @cadawg had a hard time judging the 55 entries, and it's pretty much understandable. Everyone was positive and inspiring and most entries were written from the heart. He had to do what he had to do, so he reviewed each of the post a few times and scored them. I believe his objectivity in coming up with the decisions because I am a witness to his Google Sheets tracker for the contest, it was impressive because he had a checklist for the criteria. According to him, all the entries were good but there were 3 entries that stood out because they told a unique story about their mantra and how they apply it to themselves. They presented a rather new perspective to something that he thought he already knew. He admits he learned a lot from this contest, too. Without further ado, here are his best picks from the 55 entries:
@wondersofnature
My review: I agree with @cadawg why this is a good piece and deserves to win. The author had a clear cut explanation as to why this is her mantra. She reconciled the good and the bad concept about money and presented it in a way that everything is positive and empowering. She clearly presented the difference between the need for money and the greed for money. Though money is important and makes life easy, we should emphasize that it's not everything this world is about. We should not be obsessed with money. She also wrote how her mantra is in accordance to her faith. I personally believe in this mantra. I believe that money just comes around. If you keep trying to make an effort to earn, surely money will come. In the last part, she also emphasized that if you have enough money, it is best to share it with others. A lot of people commented that this is an application of Law of Attraction, it's true. We must never forget how powerful our minds are. This is a good reminder for us not to stress too much on finances but instead think that "money comes to us easily and frequently." Congratulations, @wondersofnature, you won 1SBD for placing 3rd in this contest.
@climb-yoga-van
My review: This post is both simplified and deep. It gives us a perspective coming from someone who practices yoga and meditation. It tells us about obtaining inner peace not just for oneself but for the entire Earth and universe as a whole. It emphasizes how one should focus from within to offer peace to the world. This is a good reminder of how we should look into ourselves and find our goodness and peace and let it influence our way of life. Sometimes we overthink and fail to see the power we have in ourselves to make good change in this world, we fail to see that peace on Earth should start from each and everyone of us. If all of us apply this mantra of peace in ourselves, the world will be better. Congratulations, @climb-yoga-van, you won 2SBDs for placing 2nd in this contest.
@gjoeohere
My review: This post by @gjoeohere really left a mark because this was coincidentally the first entry on the first day of the contest. When I read his post, I was so touched of how heartfelt the words were when he told the story of his uncle's death. He emphasized how precious every moment of our lives are, how important it is to do the necessary and to do our best to avoid living a life of regrets. He also wants to remind us to have a consciousness of taking care of ourselves, like taking care of our health. And lastly to enjoy and have fun because that's one of the best things we can do while we are here because indeed, life is short. As someone who is living with kidney failure and on dialysis at the age of 33, I am too aware that life's end is so uncertain, I agree to everything he said in his post. It is a cliche, like he said, that we overlook this most often. If we apply this mantra to ourselves, we will never take anything for granted and we will live a happier, contented and purposeful life. Congratulations, @gjoeohere, you won 3SBDs for placing 1st in this contest.

As promised, all non-winning entries will be given an equal fraction from the payout of the contest post. Congratulations to everyone who joined, all 55 of you deserve my gratitude and praise for sharing your stories and your mantra. I'm sure it took deep thoughts and introspection to come up with the posts you made. I appreciate your cooperation. I learned a lot from each and everyone of you. I learned a lot about holding a contest. I promise this won't be the last time that we'd interact with each other, I have followed all of you and I will be inviting you in my future contests. I want to do this so we can establish a relationship that would be beneficial both ways. I know a red fish like me can help fellow red fishes and vice versa.

I'd like to thank everyone who made the contest a success. You overloaded me with #gratefulvibes. It was my first contest here in Steemit and I learned a lot from this experience. Thank you to @surpassinggoogle for donating the prizes, the upvotes and resteems. I cannot thank you enough, sir, I was surprised of your good gesture. I want to share with you the success of this contest. Thank you to my loyal Steemit friend, @cadawg for judging the contest. You did well, you deserve a prize, too. You were beyond excellent with your efforts. Thank you to @moneyinfant for the promotion of the contest through his blogs. You are doing a great job. Thank you to my groups, #steemitachievers, #steemph, #steemitfamilyph for the support, you are the wind beneath my wings, I am learning from all of you through your works. For all 55 contestants, I am so thankful for your efforts. Thanks for joining, you have shared inspiring stories for everyone and I hope you continue Steeming and continue to inspire with your blogs.
In conclusion, the contest was a success because of the tremendous support by Steemians. I learned a lot from my first contest. It was experimental but I think I have realized what I wanted to realize, that Steemit as a platform can be a venue of activities that could empower the individual and break the limits of how people can help others whoever they are, wherever they are and whatever they are. Steemit can be a good catalyst of the change we want to see happen to this world. Thanks to everyone who were involved in this contest, you made a chronically ill woman very happy.
Keep Steemin'!
