Military conflict in the Eastern Ukraine. Article is the first: Introduction "Native Luhansk, how it was"

Hello, everyone, in my first article, I want to talk about the military conflict which was happened in my native city in Luhansk in the Eastern Ukraine. In this article, attention is paid native city, such as I remembered it. Less than a year ago, around the world went information about the war in Ukraine. Unfortunately, the center of the fighting been and remains Luhansk.

By the circumstances of the case travel outside of Luhansk in the fighting was not possible, and everything that happens had to watch my own eyes, namely: war, famine, death, and a lot of other things that civilians of our country even cannot imagine, and some don’t want to talk, others are fearful. However, because of certain circumstances, even during the fighting had to see the emotional sincerity, kindness to unfamiliar people who at their own risk, help the wounded and the sick people, in spite of the political views that they shared. First of all I would like to tell you about a small town to the best of the lively and cheerful all the same, beautiful as it was...

Luhansk - one of the largest cities in Ukraine, the political, cultural, scientific and industrial center in the east of the country, as well as an important transport hub, through which the rail, road and air routes from the west and east, Ukraine to the north, central and southern regions of Russia. Who previously served as the administrative center of the Luhansk region. The date of foundation is considered to be the beginning of construction of Luhansk foundry plant on the river Lugan - 1795 by decree by the Empress Catherine II. The factory produced missiles and guns for the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Empire. The village formed around the plant, called Luhansk plant and became the basis of Luhansk. The city has a large number of cultural attractions. In Luhansk, a lot of museums, theaters and parks History Museum and the Drama Theatre in the center of the city. The main street of the city - the Soviet, which runs through the city center and Grand Theatre area, where the holidays were always a lot of people. This area often hosts meetings, concerts, meetings, performances, and at night you can see the fireworks.

Since April 2014 Luhansk controlled by the self-proclaimed Luhansk  People Republic, and considered it as the capital.

LPR (Luhansk People Republic )- unrecognized state within the Luhansk region of Ukraine. According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the territory claimed by the LPR, is an integral part of Ukraine. Most of the declared area LPR is controlled by the Ukrainian authorities; the rest of the territory of the LPR beyond the control of the Ukrainian authorities, it is considered the Ukrainian authorities temporarily occupied. May 12, 2014, after a referendum on self-determination of the Luhansk People Republic, the organizers announced on the results of which 96.2% voted in favor of the independence of the region and the creation of the Luhansk People's Republic, the authorities announced the LC sovereignty and expressed their desire to become part of Russia, as well as to unite with the Donetsk People's Republic of New Russia. June 11th, 2014 LC appealed to the Russian Federation, as well as 14 other States for recognition of its independence. By now the republic's independence is recognized only partially recognized state of South Ossetia. The Ukrainian authorities are considering how LC supporters of separatists and terrorists and lead them against the military operation, called anti-terror, but is it really so? During the operation the Luhansk region deputies of the local council said that we should respect the will of the citizens expressed in a referendum that LC and characterized the military operation the Ukrainian government as a terrorist directed against the people. But the facts of violence have continued to the present day. Even now, after the Minsk agreements in the city center are still shells, which shelled the city, according to local authorities - it is a symbol of the bloody struggle that led the locals against the uncontrollable forces, as well as the Military Forces of Ukraine.

It is difficult to think how to behave recklessly Ukrainian authorities allowing this to occur, as well as former President of the country, which is untraceable missing. Throwing everything to the mercy of fate. Remembering summer in 2014, I always feel sad when the streets of the city residents, in connection with the prohibition of transport movement, every half hour had to secretly move around the city so that no one noticed, in the hope to call relatives. Some of them reported that everything is in order, some with tears in their eyes told of the horrors that took place at that time.   Remembering summer in 2014, I always feel sad when local residents in connection with the prohibition of transport movement, every half hour had to secretly move around the city so that no one noticed, in the hope to call their family, as there was no mobile communication on the streets. Some of them reported that everything is in order, some with tears in their eyes told of the horrors that took place at that time. The city population of about a million people, but in the past four months, there was no light or water; not a supermarket, shops, a "skilled businessmen" were selling the remaining products at fantastic prices. Those who stayed in Luhansk were trying to sell and earn as they say at least half the coins to survive tomorrow.

Now outside the window quietly, city infrastructure is restored, but sometimes shots are heard and the echo of an unfinished war.
