Its been a while since I last celebrated my mum's birthday together with her. So this year, I decided that I must make the efforts to gravel back home and spend a little bit more time with her and celebrate her 73rd Birthday.
My mum was a school teacher in her earlier days where she had taught up to 3 generations of students in the small town of Labuan ( a tiny island just off the coast of Borneo ). Sometimes when I bring her for walks around the town, we get people still calling her Cikgu.
My mum has always been my inspiration to try and help others to succeed and one of the most patient person I know. I guess that's one of the traits you pick up being a teacher of a primary school for about 30 years.
We only have one mother and we would always love them as they have sacrificed so much for us. I'm thankful that I am still able to see her even though her health is deteriorating .... she always has an amazing smile for me when I get home which is what I really look forward to.
Happy 73rd Birthday Mum ... I will always love you !

Btw: I visited Maylasian Borneo a few years ago. The natural beauty of the area was stunning... Damn, I enjoyed those days.
