Doing good is a choice, showing love is a must

Hello everyone,
Happy new year and happy birthday to me. The year has already begun and the new years resolutions has started. So one of my new year resolutions was to show love and do good. So I set out today and trust me I had a lovely day but in the course of today's adventure, I was opportuned to commute using a public transport, while waiting for the bus to be filled a lady came in with 4 kids, I mean four children but did not pay for an extra seat for the kids but rather decided to carry them on her laps. I saw what was happening and decided to help her. I pulled two of the kids and carried them on my laps but as I was communicating with the kids and laughing at how they tried to pronounce their names, the mother got furious and began to abuse me saying she did not ask me to help her and that she didn't complain. All effort to tell this lady that I just wanted to assist her fell on deaf ears.
I just realised that people have gotten used to struggling and hustling alone that someone offering an external help was like that person had an ulterior motive.but in all I was glad I tried
