How to clean the energy in your house

Follow the moon

When there's a full moon, it's a great time to release whatever may not be serving us and it's therefore a time to reset the energy in your house, office, and even car. The full moon comes to assist us in this releasing by bringing to us it's powerful energy. A great ritual to have at this time is the use of White sage.

White sage is known to be the most widely recognized plant used to smudge; Smudging is the act of burning the plant and waving the smoke over or around to clear or clean one's space. For those of you who used or smelled sage it can often be overwhelming for people. If you find yourself in this category or would like to try something new I have a two alternatives that work well:

  1. Palo Santo-This is a sacred wood that comes from the magical Palo Santo tree, native to the coast of South America. Its name literally means holy wood, and it is just that. When it is burned, the smoke is believed to have both medicinal and therapeutic healing power. Its smell is pleasant and much lighter than sage.

2.My favorite is to burn a breaded sweetgrass. Sweetgrass is one of the most important Native American ceremonial plants, used by many tribes as an incense and purifying herb. Sweetgrass symbolizes healing, peace, and spirituality in many Native cultures, and braids of sweetgrass are sometimes left as offerings at graves and sacred sites.

You can buy these items on amazon or at many spiritual stores. So while we have this powerful full moon in virgo go ahead and try out smudging. Let me know how it goes in the comments below.

Love this post, some very useful information but need to check the availability of the woods you mentioned in Dubai and will try it.

cool amazon carries it too if they are in your country, but going to the woods would be a fun trip. I believe it grows in the tropics on the edge of the jingle but who! Thanks for the comment.

You just planted 1.79 tree(s)!

Interesting. I use sage in potato and other side dishes, too. It gives a sense of ease and reduces stress. I suppose eating it provides protection from negative energy everywhere you go. LOL.

Yeah its a great spice and really good for your digestion! Do grow yours in a garden or buy it from a store? I am considering growing in my garden this year and I need some tips on growing it. Thank you for the thoughtful post!

wow this is awesome ... i think i would try this

Awesome let me know how it works out for you!

would do

For quick energy treatments i recommend that you :
Do not use too many bright colors: such as red and purple to decorate your home as they increase disease and may stimulate negative energy at home.
Do not put waterproof pictures or a fountain in the bedroom. Because it may adversely affect you.

Ok great advise I will move the beach picture I currently have in the bedroom! Thankfully I don't have many bright colors on the walls!

usefull post. thanks!!

Very interesting post, I didn't know about the uses of palo santo wood, I would have it. I'm going to look for it. Thanh you. I`m going to follow you.

Thank you! Hope you enjoy trying the palo santo!

I learned about burning sage to clear energies from friends. They do it daily, the also smudge after a healing session. I can't say that I do it as often as I should but like anything else it's just a habit that can bring positive changes in our lives. I do like the smell but it is sometimes mistaken for something else. hahaha

So true so so true lol! Do you use the sweetgrass or palo santo too?

I like palo santo but have both.

I loved it and resteemed, I hope you don't mind.
Followed!

Thank you glad you enjoyed and thank you for resteeming!!

Waw! Glad to see your post and to connect with you! I'm really interested by cleaning my energies now and go forward, light, with the help of Angels.

Awesome to hear! Please share your results with me as you try using them. Have a great weekend.

I will, when I have time to do it. I have first to focus on internship and to clean my mess before working on energy

Cool I totally understand!

Hi there, interesting post. I used to use sage and an owl feather to smudge my home. Frankincense and myrrh were also great.

Owl feather sounds so cool! I wish I could find one go those on my next walk in nature. I do use a feather but I'm pretty sure its not an owl's. I love frankincense and myrrh but I tend to use those for mediation time....have you use copal? I got some from my time in the jungle in belize and man thats stuff is awesome!

Palo Santo and Sage are used daily in my house! My three year old even joined in on the sage cleansing the other day. 😄

Awesome to hear! I have stared letting my four daughter try it out. Great family time!

Burning Palo Santo is remembering the Incas' tradition from Perú.
They used to burn it as an aromatic incense and to get rid of evil spirits.
Thanks for sharing.

Yes you're totally correct! I plan to go to peru something in the next few years to work with some shamans! Have you been there?

hey thanks this was pretty cool. So many things to learn on the platform. It was cool to see this post on the list. I appreciate your kindness sharing this with me!

I love palo santo. Best thing for "grounding" in my bathroom. Seriously, I notice that it doesn't mix with the smells, it removes them. Drags it down or dispels it somehow. Palo Santo hides smoke well too.
Sage irritates the space between my eye brows a little. Easy to be too much for me personally.
I'm gonna use some Palo Santo now.

Great idea using it in the bathroom. I will try this out. Thanks for the tip

@ground2feet, Nice post with great information.
White sage, Palo Santo & Breaded Sweet Grass are great for cleaning house.
But may I suggest you something? In this part of the world (India), where I am living, we are using guggul (Scientific Name: Commiphora wightii) for performing many rituals. It is available in most stores. It is an aromatic plant extract that can be either burnt alone or with dry cow dung. The smoke that results from "guggul" is aromatic in nature and also cleanses your house from the negative energies. And moreover, it's smoke has a very pleasant smell. It possesses herbal medicinal properties. It is also available on various online stores.
Thanks a lot for such a nice and informative article.

Wow this sounds amazing I will try and see if I can find it. I live in America on the east coast maybe I can find it locally or even on amazon (they seem to sell just about everything). I appreciate the share!!!

Yes, You will surely find that on amazon.
Daily you can use 1-2 gms of Guggul + 1 Teaspoon of butter + 1 small dried cow-dung to burn in your house. The best time is in the morning. This cleans up your house from all the negativities. Try it, you will surely love it.

@ground2feet I will have to give this a try. Thank you for sharing :)

My pleasure! Please let me know how it works out for you!
