How to be confident in today's society.

Don’t be scared, the thing is quite simple.

Did you ever notice, that some people, although they aren’t rich or remotely pretty, without any social status, attract people immensely? What they have is confidence and they can project that confidence outward.

Follow these few steps and you too will be well on the way to being confident in today's world.

CONCENTRATE ON YOUR POSITIVE CHARACTERISTICS!

Always point out your good side as you will appear more confident in society. Tell a story that will emphasize the positive things about you, break the ice and make the atmosphere less tense and more homely. This will give you more confidence for further conversations, as you know that you have already shown your good side and that people like it - just be careful not to boast too much.

FIND COMMON INTERESTS.

Focus on what you share with people around you. Regardless of whether they attended the same school as you or have ever visited the same country, don’t be afraid to talk. Having some common interests is an excellent basis for a conversation through which you will build your self-esteem in society.

LOOK AT THINGS FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE.

In order to be self-confident in society, you must remember that people you talk to are also just people! Although it seems that some of them simply do not have problems with self-confidence, they are rare. Looking at things from a different perspective means that these people in many key things are very similar to you, with the same concerns and fears. And understanding that can help you to become more confident in society.

DEVELOP THE RIGHT WAY OF THINKING.

If you want to become self-confident, you need to develop the thought that you can never fail, no matter what you do. However, whenever something fails, you must begin to think that failure is nothing bad. Even when you fail, look at everything as a new experience from which you can and will learn something new. Learn from these mistakes, and as a consequence of it raise your self-esteem.

WORK ON SELF-CONFIDENCE, EVERY DAY, ALL THE TIME.

In order to become self-confident, you must work on it all the time. Self-confidence is not something you simply turn on or turn off as it is needed. You can not once act as a self-confident man/woman, and secondly as a frightened little bitch. If you want to become a confident man/woman in society, you must behave like a self-confident man/woman. All the time.

And for a nice little finish here’s some more advice. Until you are actually confident, fake your confidence and in time you won't be faking it anymore. Talk to the people around you to build your skills. Probably the most important part is to give away positive energy for which the people around will adore you.

I sometimes lack confidence. My parents got divorced when I was a kid and I think as a result my father wasn't there to teach me certain things that fathers project.

So did mine and I know how it feels, sucks ass right? But don't let that hold you back :D from my experience parents don't really teach us that much haha You make up what you lack in confidence with your honesty and that's good, only adds charm ^^

What helped me grow outward was for sure, not to be afraid. You can (and should) be smart when it comes to decisions, but that doesn't mean you can't push yourself outward.

Another important thing is to not let people get above your head. You are your voice of reason, and blind trust is what gets people hurt.
