Good morning Steemians!
I had recently gone through an emotional break with a guy. Like everyone who has ever gone through that, I must confess that it is really heart-breaking...
You'd remember those precious moments that depicts clearly a romantic hollywood scene, the cares, the hugs... Those times when you just knew you were not alone. You had someone to share your thoughts and burden...
Now, that's the good part...
What happens when you have to deal with an abuser... One who treats you less than you deserve.
But, somehow, you just find yourself continually attracted to the same person... I think there is a term in psychology for that. A word for describing a phenomenon in which the abused is perpetually drawn to the abuser.
Eventually, a big bang is just going to appear from the sky and abused is going to realise that he or she is being used and then, the fight for freedom begins.
And when such is the case, when the breaking apart eventually, we call it a break out.
And therein lies the first step to healing...
And next, you have to find a way to forgive and let go of all that has ever gone wrong. Forgiveness is the biggest key to finding deserving love and happiness...
Marriane Williamson explains this better;
So then, you can look him in the face and read him this poem;
" I thought you were the one
So I created a web out of my love, for you...
But I was too blind to see that you were being strangled,
Struggling for freedom...
Or was it I?
I love you sweetheart, but I can't do this anymore...
I'll continue to love you but outside my heart".
The process of change is always painful. But you can channel that pain to make you better. Own your pain.
Only then will you find, true freedom.
So, it's a happy freedom day to everyone who is having to deal with the pain of heart-break. cheer up.
