Tis the Season To Be Happy - Mini Reunions

The month of December is usually the month most people come home from abroad, the US, Singapore, Australia, London and even Saudi. They usually plan ahead and they already give their request for a vacation, hoping they get approved.
The other day a college classmate in Nursing came home for just a week to accompany her son and his family who will be going to the US.
Since there are only a few of us left here in the Philippines, 6 in Iloilo and approximately 6 in Manila, she invited us for lunch. All the others are abroad, in different places.
Since we have not seen each other in a while, she invited us to lunch and dessert in one of the big malls SM City, Mandurriao Iloilo. One classmate did not come...wonder what her problem was. So we went to enjoy each other's companion.

First there was only 4 of us. The classmate from US is the one beside me.

Then we were complete. 6 former Nursing classmates.

We occupied the long table. Her son and family was at the end. We had fun talking, reminiscing the past and talking about our coming 2020 reunion.

Of course we had to have a group picture with the Mall's displays.

The we went next door to one of our classmate's bakery and snack resto. They are well know for their delicious cakes, they have 3 branches.

We shared cakes, chocolate fudge, brazos cake and sans rival cake with either coffee or tea. We told stories and even talked about the ups and downs of our life. We cried and laugh. We all had a great time even if it was just a short time.

Dec. 23 another classmate is coming so another brunch at a hotel.

With #steemit I was able to earn and save enough for me to be able to attend these mini reunions. Our High school will be on the 17th and I have money to pay the contribution and for my travel.
