Hi there,
long time - no see.
I quitted my job at the end of July and the day after - I packed my stuff and left Lithuania for the adventures in Sweden, Greece and Germany. But I won't write about those adventures at the moment. The thing is - I came back to my home country after almost 2 months of traveling and this feeling of "I came back where I started" just approached me. I was so unhappy about my life and job before dropping everything. I was happy while I was on the road, visiting places, having nice experiences. But since I've got back - I'm feeling that my unhappiness is coming back slowly. Jobless. With out clear idea of what I want to do. Lost in life.
One evening I was thinking "why it's so hard to take care of ourselves, why we drag ourselves down emotionally, why we take seriously of what others think of us, why we slow ourselves in life and dismiss our biggest dreams, why we waste time and energy on things that we cannot change?"
It's time for a BIG change. It's time to work on self-acceptance and confidence. Be aware and caring about myself. I'm creating my own happiness project - because I like challenges and this is a good way to push myself forward out of the comfort zone and keep motivating myself and for most of all - KEEP MOVING FORWARD. I hate myself so much when I procrastinate. It's a true time killer. And I want to change that so so much. I just need willpower.
What is MY HAPPINESS PROJECT will be about?
- self development, personal growth,
- taking care of my mental and physical state;
- increasing my self esteem;
- forcing myself to try as much different activities as I can or wanted to try for a long time;
- saying YES to almost every opportunity I'll have (here smart decisions are necessary - I won't do boobjob if someone would offer me a free/discounted surgery) or in other words - be active;
- bringing back positive thinking;
- being creative
But how you gonna do that?
I'm glad you asked. Steemit will be my platform, my free space to express my creativity, feelings, observations, thoughts or record the things I've done and how it changed me. My initial plan was - to write every single day what I did to make myself happier and a better person in general. It doesn't matter if the thing that day will be: reading a nice book in the park or trying snowboarding for the first time. Everything counts. Every little thing.
But now I'm thinking can I keep up posting every single day? Will see, maybe I'll post once a week and talk about the things I did that week. I think this part of my project will develop right when I'll start it.
Why you should be interested?
Well, first of all, I believe a lot of us having struggles what comes to appreciating ourselves, maybe we don't spend enough me time or we having this part of our lives that we are about to give up, I will be that reminder to all of you to stop for a second and take few deep breaths and just appreciate the moment. I will try to help myself first, but maybe you'll find something good for you too. I'll be even more happier if you will do it so.
Just keep signed in for more, peeps.
This is a good start. I can feel it. Let's do it!
Peace out,
Roots
