What is the pain point?

Catfishing means creating a fake identity on a social network to target specific victims. There are different ways of catfishing: some people for example use pictures of another real life person to create a different - usually better - image of themselves. It can also be used for cyberbullying or even worse. So catfishing is definitely something that has no positive impact at all, which is why it should be eliminated completely.

How could this pain point be reduced or eliminated in a blockchain-world?

Through identity verification based on blockchain, every user of a certain dating platforms has to link their profile to their digital identity. Users can be 100% sure that the just matched person on Tinder is real and catfishing is now a thing of the past.
