A shield of light in a foggy morning

I live in the Padana plain city of Bologna, Italy.

It is the foggiest place in the world with very high humidity. This has an advantage, the grass and plants grow very well here and it's everything very green.

The disadvantage though is that in winter time, in particular, one can see the sun very seldom. The sky is always covered by a thick layer of gray clouds and the days have the same color.

But one morning I looked out of the window and I saw this and shoot a picture

It was so real that the pic seems photoshopped. The most important thing, however, was that it reminded me that above the thick gray clouds there is the sun :-)
