The way of love: Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness

The apostle John in his first letter shows us the way of love, we cannot love God and at the same time hate our neighbor, our brothers: "Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.", 1 John 2:9-11.

Psychology teaches us that what is feared is hated, and the love of God is love free from fear, that is why when we love God we cannot hate our brothers: "There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18.
The apostle John continues in his letter explaining that love for God is inextricably linked to communion with our neighbor: "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.", 1 John 4:20-21.
In the bible the light represents the knowledge, the wisdom, the spiritual guidance that God like a sun radiates to us: "Who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.", 1 Timothy 6:16.
The darkness instead represents ignorance, heresy (teaching of error) and the hardness of the heart: "They are darkened in their understanding and separate from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts." Ephesians 4:18.
