Here in South Africa, our country is considered a rather dry and water scarce environment. The city of Johannesburg is rather unique in that it is not built near and/or next to a main water source like most if not all major cities in the world.
Jozi (Johannesburg) was founded on gold, and the drive to dig it up and make those prospectors lots of money.... hence the tag line name "The City of Gold". But, what we do have here strangely enough is a lot of thunderous 'high veld' storms with plenty of lightening, which could be because of our high altitude, but Im no expert... I just observe and take photos.
So with all that being said... small intro... here are some night time, high altitude, photos of lightening strikes, over the 'City of Gold'. These were taken late last year, and were captured by filming first and taking out the frames needed to capture the lightening moments.
PS
Sorry been a while since my last post... Im new to this all :D
