Lighting En Mass - Lightpainting meet up in an abandoned churchsteemCreated with Sketch.

Evening one and all. I hope life is good and you're ready for the weekend. Throwback here to a visit arranged with folks I met on Flickr.

A selection of shots from a quality night at Skidbrooke Church with Chris, James, Jules and Tim. Had a quality time lighting up and getting to meet the people who you converse with online in person made for a top night.

The shot above was my first. I was a bit keen and arrived about an hour before everyone else. I loved being in this place alone. Cusom white balance for the crazy purple colour and span an orb.

The second I was testing how high I could take my iso without oodles of noise. About 800 it seems. This was 1600 and needed some noise reduction in post.

The third is a shot which I've wanted to do for a while but hadn't found anywhere suitable. Here I span a dome on the floor, walked back two steps, rotated the camera and repeated. Next up I span my orb tool whilst @fastchrisuk span the cam and finished off with a bit of net curtain behind me for the silhouette.

The fourth is probably my favourite. Nice and simple and captures the mood of the place nicely.

This place was as good as a lightpainting location gets but I've heard recently that after a spate of vandalism and fires it's no longer accessible. Why some people behave in this manner always astound me. Especially in such a beautiful old building.

Top times in top company and here's to the next night out when the weather finally settles down.

Sadly the local preservation society has wised up to the amount of vandalism which this place was attracting and now it's somewhat a 'no go' without getting descended upon by the local farmer with his 12 bore lol. Vandals spoiling it for lightpainters grrrr...

It's a bugger eh. Brainless mofos. Twas a good night out in the dark though :)

It is indeed mate. It's a tidy spot and super cool as I finally got to meet Jules and Tim M. Both of whom I miss their shots.

Amazing picture :)

Thanks for stopping by :) Cheers.

Nice to see some of the 'old stuff' and how far you've travelled.

Cheers pal. I have a hankering for a return to this type of stuff.

Thanks very much :)
