On Fire - Daenerys - Lightpainting Collaboration in North Wales.

Evening everyone and I hope your Saturday was a good one.

A shot from beautiful Wales here and the lonely tree on Lynn Padarn. It wasn't so lonely on this particular evening as there were loads of us around doing Lightpainting.

Great to meet and shoot Natasha (pictured) who's Kim's friend.
It makes all the difference taking a willing female model with outfits to take a shot up a few levels. Most of my work consists of middle aged men being back lit into silhouette.

Kim V K had brought some costumes with her, this being one of them and I immediately thought of Game of Thrones when I saw her. I then knew I had to set the air around her in fire.

I didn't use real fire as that would be dangerous so I relied on my technique involving a net curtain, orange gel and a torch.

I fired the shutter then popped my flash through a beauty dish at Natasha to soften the light. I then went behind her and waved the net curtain around, lighting it with the orange light. I retired behind the camera and let the light if the full moon illuminate the whole vista

It was a truly magical night spent in amazing company in a beautiful location.

Nights out with the camera don't come much better.
