"Forgive men their trespasses" Matthew 6:14

Day 18: Forgiveness—Mormon.org Christmas 2017

The Parable of the Prodigal Son, which appears in Luke 15:11-32, describes the story of a repentant son. After asking his father for his inheritance early, the son runs off and quickly squanders his money. It is only when he is forced to take a job on a pig farm feeding swine that the son sees the error of his ways and returns home to his father's open, forgiving arms.

This son was so far away from his father, and did not think about him untill he was in trouble. He decided to go and work for his father just so that he could have food. When his father saw him, he was so glad he gave him the best food and all the people joined in, that is how all parents feel when a child was lost and now he was found.

I personally feel that I have been blessed by God as I do find it very easy to forgive.

My life would be unbearable, if I had to go along and not know that when somebody did something to hurt me, I keep it and hidden inside myself just because I cannot forgive.

This is something that God blessed me with and I am so thankful to Him.

It is just impossible for me to be angry or let someone walk away before fixing the problem.

We are not all alike and people don’t always feel the same way about something, but who says you are right and they are wrong. Do come to a compromise and be friends when you part as this can make your life so much easier.

I am a person who can take a lot before I get angry, but it does not mean that I don’t.

But it is one of the things in life that I cannot stand, as being angry make me feel sick.

This might sound silly to other people but all I want in life is having friends and that there is nobody who can say that I treated them badly, because I just find it difficult.

Why should we be mad at any person in life, it is only the only life we get, and why make it into a bad one as we only get one chance in life. Using that one chance should be to the best of our sinful human ability. Why must we anger God as he does not want this from us?

God said love all it does not matter from where he or she is, for they are all my children, and that is the only way that I know how to live.

Maybe I am a bit childish in my life and my old age, but that is how I try to live to the best of my ability.

I remember working in the hospital and there was a nurse who did not like me for some reason. What the reason was I still do not know to this day. and it is maybe 40 years later. She slapped me through my face in front of a patient, as I was giving him his medicine.

She wanted to give it to him, but we each had a specific job. Mine was to hand out the medicine that day. Everyone was very shocked, I could not believe it but turned to her gave her the medicine and said. Here give it to him, I am not angry at you for what you did but please do not do that again to anyone else as it is really unacceptable to do that to anyone.

I still remember this and still feel sorry for her because she never apologised. She must have been stressed and did not tell anyone why.

At least she felt better in herself after this. But I felt sad for her because she did not realise what she was doing.
