I have always believed in Putting yourself out there. Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others” (Matthew 5:16a). He explained that no one lights a lamp just to hide it under a basket. A lamp is meant to be placed on a stand to give light to everything around it. Whether you’re timid or outgoing, you’re called to be a light to the people around you. That’s only possible if you’re taking time to interact with people and cultivate relationships. God bless you.

In sharing the light of Christ, you should be careful what you say. The Bible calls the tongue “a restless evil, full of deadly poison” (James 3:8).That’s pretty serious. And that’s how we should take our speech—seriously. Maybe a parent once told you, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” It’s not bad advice, even as an adult. Words are powerful and can be used for good or bad. You might even post this verse somewhere as a reminder: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear” (Ephesians 4:29)

This is really great. Thanks for sharing. I try to Think of others. I Consider other people’s needs and help meet them. I try to encourage instead of criticize. I try to Be patient. I Give others the benefit of the doubt. If i hear gossip, i distance myself from it or change the subject. When i encounter a difficult person, i remember that they were made and are loved by God. Thank you for this post. I think one of the ways i normally let the light of christ shine is If i see someone struggling with groceries, i help them to their car. If i see a mother with a baby carrier, hold the door for her. I Look for opportunities to serve. They are all around you. One small act of service can change someone’s day, and possibly their life. Everything good comes from God, and your service will allow God’s spirit to touch their heart.

In his address, Andersen promised, “Words to speak will be given in the very moment you need them. Opportunities will open to you. Faith will overcome doubt, and the Lord will bless you with your very own miracles.” Let his promise work for you. Open your mouth and fear not. Get to know your neighbors and learn to love them. Invite them to your home and let them feel of the spirit that resides there. Be kind and respectful and help them feel loved.
Another way i let the light shine is in inviting.

No matter who I am talking to, I bring God into every conversation. For example, when the conversation is on anything that can be considered a blessing, I express my gratitude to Heavenly Father for giving it to me. When the conversation is on my children, I explain how Heavenly Father helps me on a daily basis. When the conversation is on trials, I explain how I trust Heavenly Father’s plan for me. My life is centered on God, and because of that, he is also a part of every conversation. Those who know me have no doubt what I believe in because I tell them. One way I think we can share the light of Christ is by use of our social media. People are watching what you post, whether they interact with your posts or not. Think about the things you’ve posted recently—articles, comments, photos and so on. Could they be seen as prideful? Self-centered? Rude? What’s your motive? To put others down or make them jealous? Hopefully not. Aim to make informed, respectful posts that represent the One you claim as Lord.

This is a good one. Actually Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. But everyone has shine the world from their lightning. I have learnt more from this posts when you posted past blogs. We can emulate the love and care Christ showed to the poor, the marginalized, and the sick. Learning from his example, we can remember to be kind to children and those who are socially disadvantaged. Jesus Christ has indeed been an example to my life, because just as he was able to deliver the word of God in awkward places and in places you will think would not like to here the word of God, he delivered it and it is the same thing am doing now.

Another beautiful post my South African Steemit friend. Just loved the video. So heart warming. I've been so busy traveling from Thailand to Florida, then to Ecuador this past month it's been so hard to keep up with all your great posts, or many people's for that matter as well as keeping my blog earning for my travels.
