"Search the scriptures." #LightTheWorld day 10

in lighttheworld •  7 years ago

As I am sure many of you have noticed by now, I love the scriptures, not just reading them but actually searching them.

They are a great source of inspiration and knowledge to me. I also love the way I feel when I study them.

It is through them that I hear the words of God as recorded by his servants the prophets and apostles.

By reading the scriptures I can say that God has spoken to me. Not directly... but indirectly. I hear his words through the pen of others, but not only that I feel his words confirmed as I read.

The scriptures differ from other books in that there is much more there than meets the eye at first glance or casual reading. When truly srearching the scriptures one is able to discern and understand, via the Holy Spirit, more than what is simply on the written page. Insights flow freely into the mind. It is at times like these that one truly feels the power of the scriptures.

Ones mind is enlightened, the heart is gladdened and the soul expanded.

Jesus taught:
"Search the scriptures."
—John 5:39

The scriptures contain the word of God, relayed to us through inspired servants. As we study the scriptures, we grow closer to God and gain a clearer vision of our purpose on earth.

WAYS YOU CAN USE THE SCRIPTURES TO LIFT UP OTHERS

  • Do you have a favorite scripture?
Share it with friends and family on social media.

  • Want to start the day off right with your family?
Make a commitment to read the scriptures together for 15 minutes every day this week. You’ll be surprised at the difference it makes.

  • Do you know someone who could benefit from a specific passage of scripture?
Text it to the person and explain why you thought of sharing it with him or her.

Which one will you try, or do you have some other way you can share the peace and power of the scriptures with someone else?

For me so far its been great reading and voting for all your comments and seeing the creativeness in the posts. Its also been great to see we have been getting posts everyday and many of them are being rewarded, not just by my voting but by others voting as well.

'' Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path '' - Psalm 119 vs 105

Firstly I want to Thank you @gavvet for all your effort especially through the #lighttheworld campaign.

I believe the word of God gives me clarity and focus during each day.
The first thing I reach for in the morning are my glasses, because they are help me do everything. To look at a room through blurred vision is confusing. Is that an apple or tomato? Is she angry or happy? Putting my glasses on is a simple step that helps me correctly respond to things that come my way because I can accurately see what they are.

Without a consistent dose of the Word, a stressful situation can feel confusing and overwhelming (in other words, blurry). Why am I frustrated? Am I angry at my children, or am I taking other worries out on them? But when I have a steady dose of truth in my life, I can quickly perceive my circumstances and my heart's responses.
Like putting on glasses, it brings clarity, helping me accurately discern the events of the day and my own responses. When my anger is related to self-sufficiency (assuming my life holds together by my own effort), I can repent and relinquish control to God again.

Well said

On Crypto Currency - «He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead.
And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.»
Revelation 13

My favorite scripture:

And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
Ether 12:27

We all have weaknesses to make us humble, but if we humble ourselves, God can make our weaknesses become strengths.

words that are very beautiful and very meaningful

Nice to see Christian posts here at Steemit.

Thank u for your post - I want to share one I truly like, on LOVE : ♥

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."

I appreciate this saying it doesn't dishonor people, nor does it keep a record of wrongs -

Another #LOVE-Related Scripture is... "I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine." ~ Song of Solomon 8:3

'' Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.'' - Romans 12 vs 2

We can't deny the fact that we are living in a fallen world. We're caught up in a current like in a sea. Materialism, selfishness, immorality, and mindless entertainment daily nudge us away from God. Add our self-centered flesh and our enemy, Satan, and there's a lot of strength to that current.

The Word of God is like an anchor. Each time you read it, you are putting your anchor in the ground and holding on. It keeps you from drifting. But without daily grabbing on to this anchor, you may be miles away before you realize what happened. This is why frequent study and meditation of the Word of God is crucial.

I like what you say, it can be so easy to drift away, if the daily habit of reading and meditation dont happen

I love it. Lighttheworld sounds amazing so thank you for creating it.
I try to share some of my favorite scriptures on social media because I don't think people know that the real-life answers are in the bible. Most people think the bible is boring or that they don't understand it, so I try to show them the the bible is the truth, is the life, is the way.
When I see a friend or family that is hurting I send the scripture in a message and explain to them why I sent it, so I'm glad you suggested to do these things, it motivates me even more to keep on doing it.
I start my day with spending some time with God because it gives me joy and it is just the best way to start a happy day.

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord .
ISAIAH 54:17 AMP

As we draw closer to the end of the year, may we all be exempted from all operations of darkness and enter into 2018 in one peace and fullness of joy in Jesus name

In today's world we often find people who are not much into the God's way rather running towards money and other things in their life ,I know it is needed but we should not forget where we are from and where we will go and by that if we even follow some of the ways towards peace our life would rise that is sure :)

GOOD DAYS FRIEND @gavvet, as I have said on other occasions that I feel very identified with this project, which in passing is a very good initiative, just start from day 08 and I loved the tone of the project, since it is about a very special theme for me, since it is a way of life that is always having Christ for everything we are going to do, and you have touched this point with such freedom and with such simplicity, that your post has made me reflect on how we are taking the things of God in our personal lives. However, I have taken the initiative to write to you to consider the following; I want to follow that project yours to the Hispanic community I am Venezuelan I speak Spanish and Portuguese and I wanted to ask you the possibility of doing it in my native language and in Portuguese translating all the posts that are included in your project and in future projects that you may have , that you have the extension in these two languages and so we would be extending the message of God in other languages, and growing in the STEEMIT community, and if necessary preparing the videos included in the language, so that the Hispanic community can participate in these noble projects and singles that bring so much benefits to society in general.
I DO NOT HAVE A LONG TIME FRIEND @gavvet, I am a small pes and I have been intermittent within the community, but I wanted to grow in it, I had to stop on occasion for the internet signal that does not arrive regularly in the place where I live, and in others for the team that I own that is a bit old but that I likewise thank God that I have been able to write with it.
I await your positive response and I come because I do not have the power to vote for projects like the one you have and I did not do it before, because you do not know anything, tell me if you want us to chat, ok friend @gavvet, see you, God bless you
Atte @ismaelugas

There is a Portuguese and Spanish version of the campaign, you are welcome to contribute

Nice text for this time of the year, thanks for sharing!

The scriptures has helped me in one way i can hardly forget. I never used to take alcohol until I met set of friends in school who influenced me badly almost turning me into a drunkard until I met a scripture in proverbs.

Prov 31:4-6

4 Not for kings, O Lemuel, Not for kings, to drink wine, And for princes a desire of strong drink.

5 Lest he drink, and forget the decree, And change the judgment of any of the sons of affliction.

6 Give strong drink to the perishing
YLT

That was the turning point for me.
Though I shared with my friends, I hate to say it is yet to make them switch as i did.

The word of God is so sweet. I love to not only study it, but to also talk about it. Thanks @gavvet for the privilege of being part of this discuss.

I believe strongly that we have to add meditation to the reading of the word. I believe it's meditating on the word that makes it sink in.
To read without reflecting is like eating without digesting.” We cannot afford to “eat” God’s Word without “digesting” it.

'' Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”'' - Matthew 13 vs 3-9

In the parable of the four soils, Jesus tells of a sower who goes out to sow seed in his field, only to find that some seeds – the Word of God (vs 19) had fallen on “rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. This, Jesus says, is the person in whom the Word is sown but does not take root.

Meditating is what makes the word we have read to stick in and bear roots.

Amen, that is when the scriptures turn to personal revelation.

Reading and studying the Bible helps me see beyond the attractive "bait" to the painful "hook" in sinful temptations, so that i can learn from others' mistakes rather than making them myself. Experience is a great teacher, but when it comes to learning from sin, it is a terribly hard teacher. It is so much better to learn from others' mistakes. There are so many Bible characters to learn from, some of whom can serve as both positive and negative role models at different times in their lives. For example, David, in his defeat of Goliath, teaches us that God is greater than anything He asks us to face. So this is the assurance i have.

Psalms 119:11 - Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psalms 119:105 - NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Everyday, i see what God wants me to do daily. I know there is a better day ahead. I am fufilled knowing that i am doing what God wants me to do when he wants it done.
Proverbs 3:1-2 - My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: (Read More...)

2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I try to meditate on this scriptures daily. It helps me stay on track and see what God sees. It helps me have the mind of Christ the more. Thank you so much for #lighttheworld. It really makes me see how passionate God is for those in need this season. I am blessed to loving the scriptures

Ones mind is enlightened, the heart is gladdened and the soul expanded.
Wonderful. Total happiness and self-realization.

Malad you love the scriptures @gavvet, I love them also. They are a fountain of life to me.
There is no way we can understand the word without the help of the Spirit. He is surely with us on this journey
it is important to note that we are not alone in trying to understand and apply God’s Word to our lives.
'' And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.'' - John 14 vs 16-17

God has filled us with His Spirit who speaks to us, leading and guiding us into all truth. for He is a very present Help in our time of need. The Spirit will faithfully guide us into the will of God, always causing us to do what is right. Who better to teach how to live according to all that is written in the Bible than the One who inspired the Bible to begin with—the Holy Spirit Himself? Therefore, let us do our part by hiding the Word in our hearts and obeying the Holy Spirit as He draws that Word out of us.

We should read and study the Bible because it is God's Word to us. The Bible is literally "God-breathed" (2 Timothy 3:16). In other words, it is God's very words to us. There are so many questions that philosophers have asked that God answers for us in Scripture. What is the purpose to life? Where did I come from? Is there life after death? How do I get to heaven? Why is the world full of evil? Why do I struggle to do good?
I had some of this questions too, but the more i read his word, i started seeing God's original intentions and plan for my life.
We should read and study the Bible because God does not change and because mankind's nature does not change; it is as relevant for us as it was when it was written. While technology changes, mankind's nature and desires do not change. We find, as we read the pages of biblical history, that whether we are talking about one-on-one relationships or societies, "there is nothing new under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 1:9seek
Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
If you are not a lover of the scripture, you are missing out trust me. You get confused and nowhere to seek clarity, but only God's word gives assurance.

Very well said my friend.
And while mankind as a whole continues to seek love and satisfaction in all of the wrong places, God—our good and gracious Creator—tells us what will bring us lasting joy. His revealed Word, the Bible, is so important that Jesus said of it, "Man does not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). In other words, if we want to live life to the fullest, as God intended, we must listen to and heed God's written Word.
I love to read and study the Bible because there is so much false teaching. The Bible gives us the measuring stick by which I can distinguish truth from error. It tells us what God is like. To have a wrong impression of God is to worship an idol or false god. We are worshiping something that He is not. The Bible tells me how one truly gets to heaven, and it is not by being good or by being baptized or by anything else we do. John 14:6. which says:- I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me.
Along this line, God's Word shows us just how much God loves us (Romans 5:6-8; John 3:16). And it is in learning this that we are drawn to love Him in return (1 John 4:19)

Jesus also pointed out that God’s blessing comes from obeying the truth, not just knowing it. He said, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (John 13:17).

I cannot overstate the value of being a part of a small Bible study discussion group. We always learn from others truths we would never learn on our own. Other people will help you see insights you would miss and help you apply God’s truth in a practical way.

The best way to become a doer of the Word is to always write out an action step as a result of your reading or studying or reflecting on God’s Word. Develop the habit of writing down exactly what you intend to do. And i want to thank you @gavvet for encouraging me with your scriptures. For some of us encouragement comes naturally, for others, not so much. I have a reminder in my calendar each day to send someone an encouraging note, email, text, or phone call. I need this reminder to pause, pray, and then intentionally try to spur someone on in Christ. Thank you @gavvet because you are that reminder. Even in my busy schedule, i come here and i am lifted to affect other lives and do the Word. I Pray for God to show me who to encourage, i ask God to bring someone to mind that yoPray for God to show you who to encourage. Ask God to bring someone to mind that i should reach out to. I do that with the inspiration of the project #lighttheworld. God bless you richly. You are the reason steemit makes so much sense to me.

Wow. Great one. Glad you are lover of scriptures and alot of people here love them too.
The word of God is like a mirror that reveals to us the very thoughts and intentions of our hearts (Heb. 4:12). It shows us our ugly, self-centered attitudes. It exposes our pride. It confronts our contempt for others and our lack of compassion. It hits our sinful anger and our rotten speech. It uncovers our deception, greed, and lust. But, if we just take a quick glance at the word once in a rare while and rush out the door, without doing anything to address the problems that it reveals, it won’t do us any good.

James 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Hearing the word without doing it is the default mode of our fallen hearts. Like Adam and Eve when God confronted them, we’re quick to blame others and dodge our own responsibility for our sins. To be doers of the word, we’ve got to give it more than passing attention. It requires deliberate focus and hard work to apply it personally.

“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24)

Receiving, reading, researching, remembering, and reflecting on the Word of God are all useless if we fail to put them into practice. We must become doers of the word (James 1:22).

I understand this is a hard step, because Satan fights it so intensely. He doesn’t mind you going to Bible studies as long as you don’t do anything with what you learn. We fool ourselves when we assume that just because we have heard or read or studied a truth, we have internalized it.

Actually, you can be so busy going to the next class or seminar or Bible conference that you have no time to implement what you’ve learned. You forget it on the way to your next study. Without implementation, all our Bible studies are worthless. Jesus said, “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock” (Matthew 7:24)

James 1:23-25
23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do
This says it all. God bless you @gavvet.

You are absolutely right reading the Scriptures is of great benefit to people who want to change their lives. It gives answers to all the questions that arise, cleanses the soul and calls for doing good. Very good article. Thank you.

'' My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;'' - Poverty 4 vs 20 - 21

You have done a wonderful job here @gavvet. But to add to what you've said about studying the word, I'll like to add just as the scripture above points out, the place of memorizing the word.

It is impossible to apply what we cannot remember. If we are going to “hide” the Word in our hearts, we have to first get it in there by means of memorization.
Memorizing Scripture produces within us a well from which we may continually drink, especially at times when we are not able to read our Bibles.
In the same way that we store up money and other earthly possessions for future use, we should “lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul” (Deuteronomy 11:18, KJV). Create a plan for the Scripture verses you would like to memorize each week.

I believe this will help advance our personal walk with God.

I think you feel exactly like I do, maybe I just do not know how to put it in such wonderful words as you do.

Absolutely brilliant campaign your created #lighttheworld. I appreciated your effort @gavvet. Most important you discussed in this Christmas season. Past post discussed more valuable information. Lot of peoples give their feed backs.
I am non christian as i told before. But I really respect them. I really loved scriptures and read more before. I have some bible book. Scriptures seriously motivated our skills and mind. I like more ones. But most like one is below.

"Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

I follow your instructions as you told from your #lighttheworld posts. I always stay and live with my family. I Spend more times with them and enjoying out to go. And helping poor peoples for preparing some foods.
Thank you for giving opportunity to me @gavvet.
Resteemed.

Great verse

There is nothing better in life than studying the scriptures. Another way we can use the scriptures to encourage ourselves is by searching the scriptures for God's commands and promises towards us. Often in the scriptures, when the Lord gives commandments He then tells us the blessings we will receive from keeping them. Consider the following:

“Ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” - Matt 7 vs 7

'' Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.'' - Exodus 20 vs 12

'' He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord, will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.'' - Isaiah 40 vs 29-31

Let's form the habit of daily searching the scriptures, for it is a well of treasures for those who are patient enough to look with total focus, by the help of the Spirit.

Thank you so much @gavvet for creating this mindset. Most of us dont even see a reason why we should enjoy reading and sharing the scriptures amongst ourselves.
“Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (Heb. 3:13).
We know that studying the Bible is vitally important in the Christian life. The Bible is God's Word to us. Paul instructed Timothy, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). Paul later wrote, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16–17). Certainly studying God's Word on our own as well as receiving sound Bible teaching from pastors and other Christian leaders is a key aspect of learning how to "rightly handle the word of truth.

There is no doubt to the fact that we can only be empowered to fulfill God's purpose for our lives in the place of prayer and the study of God's Word. It's not just reading the word, but studying it.
While studying certainly involves reading, reading is not the same as studying. To study God’s Word means that we prayerfully devote time and attention to acquiring advanced knowledge on a particular person, subject, theme, passage, or book of the Bible.
A multitude of study resources is available, including biblical commentaries and published Bible studies that enable us to feast on the “meat” of God’s Word (Hebrews 5:12-14).
We can familiarize ourselves with these resources, then choose a topic, a passage, or a book that piques our interests and delve in.

*'' In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.'' - Hebrew 5 vs 12 - 14

I love studying the word daily too. It has helped to make my life have a meaning. It has transformed my life. The word has a daily impact on our lives. You might not feel it immediately, but it's sure working.
Imagine you have cancer and doctors suggested it can be cured through regular chemotherapy treatments. You begin your treatment, but do not feel different after the first treatment. Or the second. Or even after the third. So why keep going? Just because you don’t feel anything doesn't mean it's not working. Over time, it will slowly kill off the sickness in you.

This is what a steady intake of the Word of God is like. When read as an act of faith in Christ, it slowly cures our pride, our selfishness, our hypocrisy, our apathy. Reading the Word of God is often enjoyable. But other times, you will close your Bible feeling the same as when you sat down. This doesn’t mean your time wasn't effective! Every time the Word enters our mind, it is accomplishing something. God assures us, "So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it" (Isa. 55:11).

A regular, steady, and substantial diet of the Word of God kills the pride in our hearts that leads to all other sin. Be committed no matter how you feel.

Nice post sir.

James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

1 John 5:18
We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

Sometimess I wish many could actually sit and read the scriptures to themselves and allow the holy spirit minister wholly and directly unto them rather than allowing other men interprete his/her little understanding to them.

God bless you @gavvet........Keep lighthing the world

Yes, best to drink from the source rather than downstream

God bless you richly @gavvet. A lot of sense was made and i even so more light at what you were saying. The fact that there is this project #lighttheworld is a product of not just reading of the word, but doing the word. We are encouraged to go out there and influence the world positively., and thats why its important to me.
To hear the word and not do it leads to deception, but to hear the word and do it leads to blessing.
Obedience should always be the bottom line of Bible study or biblical preaching. Correct application must always be built on correct interpretation. But to study the word just to fill your head with knowledge, without applying the word, short-circuits God’s purpose in giving it. Even seemingly irrelevant matters, such as biblical genealogies, are “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16). James gives us three warnings about those who hear the word without doing it:
heed [thereto] according to thy word.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Acts 17:11 - These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Reading the scripture 15 minutes per day together seems like a good initiative:)

@gavvet,
Scriptures are a kind of quote which leads our lives to do good, behave good and the day we die, it will help us to die as a good guy as well! S, with your Light the World project, what you decided to do today is also a great thing! Keep it up! God bless your work!

Cheers~

Unfortunately, in our time few people read the Scriptures. But I will only say for myself, every time I start reading the New Testament at different periods of my life the same text opens to me in different ways. Truly, Magic from God. Thanks for the excellent post.

It's truly amazing the way that works

All in the will of God, thank you!

Thank you for the giving more suggestions from #lighttheworld hashtag post. I don't think this is a not religious post. More important and thinking positively all peoples. Perhaps these post more spiritual and inspiration. I read more scriptures. Its can be change our life. Scriptures included simple words but deeply meaning here.

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Thank you for great conversation @gavvet.
Keep going #lighttheworld.
May god bless you!!!

Very wise words. Holy Scripture is one of the wisest books available to a common man. Thank you for doing good with your activity. Good luck to you and good.

It doesn't have to be just scriptures. It can be anything positive. Any type of positive message. Focusing our thoughts and energy on positive aspects of our lives leads to better spiritual, mental, and physical health.

@gavvet, I cannot agree more. I have to start my day with reading God's holy Word, otherwise I my day just does not feel whole. And when you have the Holy Spirit to enlighten your reading, it literally becomes the Word of God, spoken DIRECTLY to you. Now that the Holy Spirit is with me every moment of my life, I can see clearly. Everything (not only His Word) has become clearer. I am not saying that I know everything now, but it is as if I was blind before.

Amen. I agree that all should draw strength from God's words during these especially troublesome times. I pray He returns soon . . .
Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
#lighttheworld

lamentably, in our time few humans study the Scriptures. however i will simplest say for myself, on every occasion I begin analyzing the new testomony at distinct durations of my lifestyles the equal text opens to me in different ways. truly, Magic from God. thank you for the notable publish.

I chose to bring the scriptures up when ever me and some friends have little argument about football. To me i bring it up like and argument and we will spend the hold day arguing and in the process studying the scriptures too. For in this part of the country it hard to get most of the young men to read their bible, but I discovered that as much as the like watching football and arguing about each others team the love doing the same when it comes to the scriptures and finally the will always appreciate what is written in them. So my way of sharing the scriptures is by bringing it up as an agreement among friends.
@jamesub

Arguing generally not productive, reasoning together is more fruitful

The word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit... Heb. 4:12

Thank you for the encouragement and suggestions @gavvet. I am planning to post daily scriptures and tag it #lighttheworld.
Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God bless you always. Thank you for being a blessing. Resteemed!

That's a great verse.

I agree with you, we have to search God's words by ourselves.

When Paul was on earth he commended the Christians in Beroeʹa. See what Acts 17: 11 says,

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. - KJV, Bible

The later part of that scripture shows that the Christians searched the bible to see if what Paul taught them was really correct.

Very religious. I also have scripture. I read it daily in prayer.

Nice one bro

very nice post! ))

Now more than ever, Christianity is under fire and self destruction. It is time for Christians to relate to discipline and be the strong warriors required to restore law and order, our culture is in great threat, our children in narcosis by the endless dopamine overflow.

I agree with your comment. Definitely scriptures earn more advantage for us. Scriptures reading give ability to develop our success.

Luke 1:46-55: The Magnificat
My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has
regarded the low estate of his handmaiden
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed;
for He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name.
And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with His am, He has scattered the proud in the
imagination of their hearts,
He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree.
He has filled the empty with good things, and the rich He has sent empty away.
He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy, as He spoke
to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity forever.

Look at above scripture. I have feel lot meditation and relaxation.

while I agree with your message, that's not what John 5:39 is saying, or was meant to say. Yes reading the Scriptures is good, but only in context.

for more details, read my day 10 post.

Anyone read The Gnostic Gospels? They better

I have been inspired by your words, and I feel guilty of being so ungrateful to God, I know I have failed him in several ways but I believe there is a second chance right, I can still amend my ways

John 3:16 for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life
