I posted this close-up image of Victoria Falls, Wester Ross, Scotland earlier this week on my own photo challenge, but decided it was worth posting again for this photo contest of moving water by @benfenson, as it is my favorite waterfall image from my trip to Scotland earlier this month.
Victoria Falls, located off the A832 on the south side of Loch Maree on the road north to Gairloch is named after Queen Victoria who visited the falls in 1877 . There is a great view of Loch Maree to the north and Beinn Eighe to the south from the top of the falls. They are situated on the Abhainn Garbhaig, a river that flows into Loch Maree from Loch Garbhaig.
I achieved the soft spun candy floss effect of the water by setting my camera on a tripod and shooting at 1/13 of a second. The tripod I was using was rather flimsy for a long exposure, I had left my cable release at home, and I even forgot to use mirror lock up! So I was fortunate to get a few good shots without vibration seen at 100%!

Can someone answer me this please? Why are upvotes worth nothing since this Cheetah robot singled out my perfectly legitimate post?? I'm not too thrilled about this. :-( It is entry number 2 in the contest and has some similar information in it, because the shot was taken at the same location as the first one! It's all my own work, both in the wording and photo content. I could have posted just an image, but thought that adding information would make the shot more interesting!
