Logged in this morning to see there is a the latest Ubuntu version out now.
This will be the first system upgrade I have done since I moved to Ubuntu as my full-time operating system. The iMac is now used mainly for webinars, streaming and Keynote, and the Windows desktop is mainly for VR. My Dell laptop lives in the garage with the laser cutters and CNC machines.
Either the upgrade will work fine or it will be a massive test of my backup regimen!
Good luck! I am postponing the update since I have to make backups for all the stuff I have as well.
Cheers

Let us know. I am running 16.04 and have not played with 18.04 yet. I am thinking of installing 18.04 on another computer to play with before upgrading my primary computer.

I upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04. It was not without the odd issue and I would say a clean install is easier but it made me set up a regular back up regime and it was definitely worth it. Upgrading fixed a lot of minor problems I'd been having.
