[Linux] Some useful Vim commands.

  • Turn off the current search highlighting until the next search: :noh
    Use :set hlsearch to turn it on again
  • Turn­-off file encryption: :set key=
  • Convert to html & save to file: :TOhtml & :w myfile.html
  • Browse between splits: Ctrl+w+w
  • Brute force closing of all splits: :qa!
  • Enable/Unable line numbers: :set nu / :set nu!
