Day 2

I have been telling myself for a long time to read my Bible. But I could never get myself to do it. I’d come up with all sorts of excuses. It wasn’t until I discovered the Torah, that I finally said it’s time to read my Bible and relearn everything.

So how did it go?

I had a game plan for today’s item. My plan was to read my Bible every time I wanted to look at my phone. Well, it didn’t go as planned.  I would say at best, my Bible time and phone time were the same. I guess I’m not really sure why I added the phone part in there. I could have easily just set a goal of how much I wanted to read in one day. I must have figured that comparing it to phone time would be a good measurement of how much time I was reading. I read my Torah portion today, and I read the book of Hebrews. So I’m not too disappointed in myself.

My takeaway

I don’t have a lot to share for this section, other than I’d like to introduce a topic for discussion. If there are any Hebrews reading this that know more than I do (and it wouldn’t take much because I am still so new with much to learn) I would love to hear from you. I’ve been trying to figure out the sacrifices/offerings lately. After reading Hebrews today, it just added more curiosity. My main issue is understanding how each one differs and their purposes. I’m sure I am stuck in my old way of thinking, because I don’t understand why there will still be sacrifices/offerings in the 1000 year reign. Maybe the answer is obvious, but I just haven’t gotten to that part yet? I haven’t read the whole Bible yet. If anyone could point out some passages and/or resources, that would be very helpful!

Shalom
