ANTMINER L3+ worth the investment? Current profits are over $1000.00/Month

Is the Antminer L3+ worth the investment? Bitmain has recently increased the price of the Antminer L3+ by nearly $800. Last week, Bitmain was selling this miner for just over $1200. Now since then, they have removed this price and have made it available for 41 Litecoins (plus shipping depending on location). At the time of writing this, according to Cryptocompare.com 1 Litecoin is $46.53. Since the miners are 41 LTC than the total cost of these miners are $1907.75. In order to run this miner a power supply is also needed. The recommended power supply made by Bitmain the APW3+-12-1600W is currently sold out ($105) and must be used on outlets 205v and above. If powering the miner on a standard USA 110v power outlet the EVGA SuperNova 1000w Gold Rated power supply is a great option and can be purchased on Amazon for under $150. I have used both of these power supplies and will power the miner just fine, but one main difference I have noticed between the two is the EVGA power supply is significantly quieter than Bitmain's APW3+-12-1600W psu.

The L3+ needs 800 watts to run and has a hash rate of 505 MH/S. I live in California and pay $.11 per kWh for electricity.

At the current network difficulty the L3+ on average will earn around:
0.8217 LTC per day
5.75 LTC per week
24.65 LTC per month
299.92 LTC per year

Of course there are many other factors that will effect the total number of coins mined such as overall luck of the mining pool, future block reward reductions and conditions of the miner including temperature, etc. As the total network hash rate increases then the harder it will become to mine the coins.

Although the price of the miner has increased, so has the price of Litecoin jumping from $29 per coin to over $45 at the time of writing this. Therefore the price increase of the L3+ is expected. Bitmain plans to deliver these miners in early September.

Can't wait to receive mine in the mail! Thank you for the post!

This is a silly question, but am seeing antminer everywehere, how do you actually use that ? do you connect it to a screen and install your mining stuff then get started or that's a part of the main rig you mine with ? :) i don't mine but just curious

You set it up through PC, but you mine on it. Basically the Miner is the computer, so you don't use your PC, but using that, just you plug it with Internet and the Miner do all the stuff :)

Thank you @zaykov . I tried checking it on their website it's out of stock everywhere and ebay is selling it double price lol
