NO JOKE... Today Litecoin Founder Charlie Lee Openly Sold/Donated All His Litecoin (LTC) To Avoid People Accusing Him Of Pumping The Price For Self-Profit Using His Influence

Wow, I wasn't expecting this...

And yes this is his official twitter page for anyone wondering... I wonder if Roger Ver would do the same with his Bitcoin Cash (lol).

Anyways, I am shocked by this but fully understand where Charlie Lee is coming from, and I actually feel this will strengthen Litecoin as a whole. I was already a huge supporter of Litecoin, and had a lot of respect for Charlie Lee and his overall leadership, but now his support/respect has risen to a whole new level.

I know most people that read this will assume that LTC is going to crash and crash hard based on this news... I personally suspect the exact opposite will happen, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if by the end of the year the price is more then double what it is now... Call it a hunch.

Charlie Lee is a legend. The internet can be a nasty place sometimes, I wish him all the best. Thanks for sharing!

Charlie is stuck in a situation where no matter what he does people attack him. If he talks about bad news they blame him for the price dip, if he talks about good news they say hes pumping for self-profit, and even when he did this tweet/reddit post people were blaming him for a potential Litecoin crash it COULD cause. As I said, I fully understand where he is coming from, he wanted to detach himself slightly from the LTC coin itself so he can do his job of making Litecoin the #1 crypto in the entire space (which I honestly feel will happen in 2018 as it takes the #1 MC spot), while having the freedom to speak his mind without people attacking him left and right. He really is a legend, and a lot of other people if they were in his position would NOT of had the balls to do what he did.

It's a shame Charlie felt he had to do this to give in to people who's only lot in life it to bash others because they are successful. He has always seemed to stand for truth and integrity. He has dispelled rumors and given his thoughts on situations which have helped me (and I'm sure others) to make informed decsions on crypto investing.

Charlie has worked hard to move Litecoin forward technologically which is part of the reason it has been so successful. Thus he has helped propel blockchain technology in general as well.

Charlie Lee is one of the major people shaping blockchain technology and a stand up guy as well. There will always be those who criticize and accuse you of things when you are in this type of position. If you take something away from them they will find something else to hit you with. Charlie needs to ignore these people because as he said himself, he can't win.

Charlie Lee, a rockstar in blockchain with high moral standards. I wish him all the success and good fortune in the world!

I fully agree it is a shame as he should be able to have a stake in the game that he himself is leading. Hard work should have a payout without people accusing him of market manipulation like they have been. This recent move by him however shows that he is not financially motivated with his work/actions and is actually doing what he does to better the blockchain technology, the crypto space in general, and the world as a whole. Again he is a true legend, and anyone saying otherwise is a complete dumbass.

Totally agree! Cheers!

It seems Charlie Lee needs to do better at ignoring people!

Charlie wants to be like Satoshi so that the person (him) and the tech (litecoin) are not seen as being financially attached in the public eye. The funny thing is Satoshi has 1,000,000 BTC so even though Satoshi (whoever he is) isn't connected to the Bitcoin tech due to being anonymous he still has a financial stake in Bitcoins success. IMO Charlie Lee's recent action has made him overtake Satoshi as the true king of blockchain!

I'm on the Dan Larimer train ;)

Every king needs a good queen... Can't Dan be Charlies queen? :D

Incredible. Thanks for sharing this

No prob, this is def news worthy, especially for people interested in Litecoin in general.

PS thanks for the resteem!

I am a big fan of Litecoin... I have 4 of them and wish I had more....

I had like 100 a while back but sold most of it during the fall bear market... I am still kicking myself for not HODLing the best coin out there (LTC) during this time... I still have a decent amount and am continuing to build my litecoin stack whenever I can but I highly doubt I will ever get back to having the number of coins I once did.

I especially appreciate your tips on EarnCrypto ... I am earning an extra .50 Steem a day now. (Worth $1.50 USD )

No prob at all, glad it helped. I personally switched to Litecoin as my reward payout and will continue to build up my LTC stack using it as well as LTC mining in the background. I have no idea why more people don't use that site (an easy $1-$5 a day for doing basically nothing, and as the crypto you choose goes up in value the daily payout from past days continues to grow).

You have a great blog here with tons of great information.. what Steemit is all about.

Agreed, I wonder if Roger Ver would have the same integrity to sell off all of his BCH.
