We all are excited that litecoin finally made its jump. As seen from the top post from the litecoin reddit page, they might be happy. But is this the top of the climb or did litecoin just take a break at the ledge.
r/litecoin right now
When looking at the price of litecoin it approached the $48 dollar mark and floated surpassed $1.4 billion of 24 hr trading volume.
But after all of those highs litecoin settled around $45, still a 50% increase from the price two days ago. This large increase pushed litecoin to have the third largest market cap behind bitcoin, ethereum and ripple.
The big question is: is the top for litecoin or does it have more ground to gain compared to catch up to bitcoin and ethereum. Litecoin may even be the better version of bitcion. Litecoin has made the largest improvements of the large coins over the last year with the successful SegWit integration, that made transactions faster, and the future prospect of the lightning network to speed up litecoin even more.
Litecoin's biggest jump may come on Monday when BitStamp, a licensed EU exchange begins to include litecoin in its trading. This will increase litecoin's exposure to more investors and probably another price increase.
