What will be the difference between litecoin's smart contracts and ethereum's?

I've been hearing about the upcoming addition of smart contracts to the litecoin network, and I cant help but wonder why anyone would switch to litecoin considering etherum is already established as the smart contract coin. Would litecoin's smart contracts be anything different than ethereums? Is there any reason why someone would switch to litecoin from ethereum?
