Stating he would step away for the greater good eventually is ok but trying to equate it being good in the same way that the founder of BITCOIN is invisible is simply comparing apples with ocean liners.
First of all no one has ever known who the real founder of bitcoin was or is. They have no idea if he is behind the scenes or how many bitcoin he may or may not have. With Charlie, we know what he has, NOTHING, at least he says so, and we also know what he is doing for LITECOIN, which generally and usually is great stuff, however thinking that litecoin without Charlie as a face is the same thing as with Bitcoins founder is simple not reasoning correctly. DECENTRALIZATION has nothing to do with whether or not Charlie Lee stays in the lime lite with #LITECOIN it has everything to do with perception.
He stated in the article : "“Litecoin is more centralized because I’m around, so it has a more centralized development team, has more centralized foundation. I can steer #litecoins towards my vision, and people will listen to me because I created it.”
Folks all working together in the same direction is not centralization in the bitcoin sense of the word, it is cooperation.
After Charlie said what he said int he interview, Litecoin has slowly started to bleed again, not as bad as when his less than discerning statement about selling all his# LITECOIN but never the less it made a recovering market weaker.
Folks who have influence need to have a little wisdom when they speak .
