They were capable of doing it but the community behind them never liked it and still don't to an extent to this day. At most they want it into sidechain. rsk.co But no matter what you think it the free market that decides what stay and what leaves.

Yes, for sure.. I am not bashing LTC, it is pretty good in what it does. But what I have seen so far is that BTC had a hard time implementing any technical improvements due to the disagreements among the miners and developers and hence so many forks.. LTC is at least better than those so called BTC wannabes...

If your truly a decentralized network no party should have control. They fight and either admit defeat and leave or compromise. The miners with all their money just couldn't win after people got angry at them and created BCH as a way to strongarm BTC. They overestimated thier power and created bch-the real hard fork. Any other is pretty much free money. Can't do anything about those-a decentralized airdrop basically..
